Alberta-accredited academics with Quran, Arabic and Islamic character at the foundation — not as an add-on. Two campuses across Edmonton, each child's education held as an amanah.
We teach the full Alberta curriculum and sit the provincial PATs — the same rigour as any top public school, taught by certified teachers in classes small enough for every child to be known. A strong Muslim identity does not come at the cost of a strong education. Here, your child gets both.
Next: the Qur'anA structured Qur'an programme with qualified teachers, from new readers to active ḥuffāẓ. Tajweed is taught in small groups, memorisation is tracked individually, and the day opens with halaqa after the morning adhkār — a rhythm that makes the Book a part of who your child is.
Next: Arabic & Islamic StudiesArabic is taught as a foundational subject, not a token class — because it is the language of the Qur'an. Alongside it, Islamic Studies runs through the week: Seerah, fiqh, aqeedah and the stories of the Prophets, taught at each age in a way a child can carry into adulthood.
Next: character & communityAkhlaq is formed, noticed and recorded with the same care as academic progress — because who your child becomes matters as much as what they know. Salah is prayed in jamāʿah each day, and the school sits within the Al-Faruq Islamic Centre, so your child belongs to a community, not only a classroom.
See a day in the lifeDeen and academics are not split into separate worlds here. This is how one school day unfolds — the rhythm parents are really choosing.
A child grows from first letters to leaving for high school under one roof. Here is the arc you're choosing.
Play-based learning, first Qur'an reading, and the habits of salah and good character, gently formed.
Academics deepen, Hifz tracks open for those ready, and Arabic literacy takes hold.
PAT preparation, deeper Islamic studies, and the responsibility that readies a young Muslim for high school.
Both under the Al-Faruq Islamic Centre — choose the campus closest to your family.
Full K–9, the Qur'an department and daily halaqāt, gymnasium and the masjid at its heart.
K–9 alongside the Amana Academy small-class track, serving families across the city's north.
No pressure, no rush — begin the application and we'll guide your family from there, inshaAllah.
Begin the online application — choose the campus and school lane, share your child's details. No payment beyond a small application fee.
Our admissions team reviews the application and may invite your child for a short, friendly placement.
You hear back — usually within two weeks. On acceptance, tuition is invoiced and your portal access is created.
Confirm the place, and your child becomes an Al Faruq student — rosters, schedule and family portal ready.
Tuition is invoiced only after acceptance — never before. Assistance is handled privately and with dignity, never as a lesser tier.
Begin your child's applicationOpen houses, the seasons of the year, and the moments worth marking — read from the same calendar our families follow.
Tour classrooms, meet teachers, and see the Qur'an programme. Families welcome after Ẓuhr.
Eid Mubarak from all of us at Al Faruq. Classes resume after the holiday, inshaAllah.
Twenty-three students recited in our annual musābaqah. We ask Allah to bless their effort.
Begin an application, or book a campus tour and see it for yourself. A conversation, a visit — no pressure, just the next small step.
